Émile Bilodeau

Active in music since his teenage years, Émile first gained widespread recognition in 2016 with the release of his debut album, Rites de passage. This breakthrough earned him the Félix Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2017 ADISQ Gala.

Building on that momentum, he returned in the fall of 2019 with Grandeur mature, an album that marked a clear evolution in his sound. Less than two years later, he was already preparing his next release: petite nature, a bold and clear-eyed third album, released in September 2021.

Émile then followed up with “Tshe Minupunanu,” a song co-written with Scott-Pien Picard and the band Maten, marking the beginning of a meaningful collaboration with members of the Innu community.

Never one to slow down, Émile surprised his fans with Tout seul comme un grand, a fittingly titled fourth album on which he played every instrument himself in the studio. In the fall of 2023, he unveiled the next chapter of his musical journey with Au bar des espoirs, his fifth album, produced by his friend and longtime collaborator Simon Kearney. This new collection of songs explores the idea that the line between hope and its opposite can sometimes be very thin.

Finally, in September 2025, Émile released Bill aux Îles, a live album recorded in front of an audience in the Magdalen Islands and performed as a one-man band with remarkable precision. These new songs are unmistakably his own. Authentic, genuine and incredibly solid, this sixth album will take him across Quebec over the coming year.

Directed by Hubert Proulx, the solo Bill aux Îles tour is ready to hit the road, and all that’s missing is you!
