At the age of 6, karate grabbed the attention of Marie-Eve Dicaire. She will earn her black belt and become a Canadian champion before she turns 11. 18 years old, she became a karate world champion, a title she would achieve five times. She will also earn a place on the US NASKA network with the Amerikick team.
In amateur boxing, Dicaire had her best year in 2013, where she won the Quebec Championship, the Canadian Championship and the Ringside tournament, in addition to a victory against the American champion in an international meeting between Canada and the United States. Boxe Quebec also awarded her the title of Athlete of the Year.
The Saint-Eustache fighter became a professional boxer in 2015. At her fourteenth fight, she became the first Quebec woman to win a world title.
Receiving the National Assembly medal in 2019 and the Maurice Richard prize awarded by the Société Saint-Jean Baptiste for his sporting excellence remain two of his fondest memories.
