Raphaëlle Tousignant is a Quebec para hockey player who has made history in her sport. After being diagnosed with osteosarcoma as a child and undergoing the amputation of her right leg, she discovered para hockey and quickly found her place back on the ice. At 14, she joined Canada’s national women’s team and continued her journey within the national program. In 2023, she became the first woman to represent Canada’s national para hockey team at a major international event. A dedicated athlete and advocate for the growth of women’s para hockey, Raphaëlle continues to help advance the sport and pave the way for future athletes.
