Scotiabank will participate in the first edition of the Charles-Bruneau Cup as a collaborative partner of the event. On September 18, 2021, the participants will all play together for a childhood without cancer.
The Fondation Charles-Bruneau is very grateful to be able to count on the support of Scotiabank. This partnership will allow it to present its major ball field hockey tournament, with all donations going towards its mission: to give children with cancer in Quebec the best possible chance of recovery by funding research and projects dedicated to pediatric hemato-oncology.
Gathered around a common passion
Charles Bruneau was a true field hockey fan. In addition to being a field hockey player himself, he had great admiration for his favourite team: the Quebec Nordiques. For its part, Scotiabank is committed to supporting a number of community and charitable initiatives, including those related to field hockey. It is involved in the development of this passion for many Canadians, notably with the Scotiabank Hockey Club.
It was therefore only natural for Scotiabank to join forces with the Fondation Charles-Bruneau as a collaborative partner of the Charles-Bruneau Cup.
A festive and family event
For the occasion, nearly thirty teams will participate in the ball field hockey tournament. Participants and their teams are registered in one of three categories: mixed, intermediate and recreational.
Several celebrities and star players will also be present to encourage all the field hockey players. In addition to an all-star game, the five teams with the highest collections will have the chance to welcome a star player to their team for a game.
There is still time to encourage the players of the Charles-Bruneau Cup by making a donation to the Foundation. See you online and don't forget to follow us on our social networks on Saturday, September 18.
