The IGA Stadium in Montreal came alive for a cancer-free childhood on September 27 during the 5th edition of the Coupe Charles-Bruneau in Montreal, presented by IGA!
Alicia, Ophélie, and Émile were there on September 27 to cheer on the 500 participants in the fifth friendly ball hockey tournament to benefit childhood cancer research.
Émile played in the All-Star game and scored a goal on a pass from George Laraque, one of the many public figures in attendance on that fall Saturday.
Two familiar faces at the Coupe Charles-Bruneau, sports columnist Meeker Guerrier and host and columnist Isabelle Éthier, have agreed to serve as Ambassador and Ambassadress for the Coupe Charles-Bruneau. This close-knit and slightly competitive duo certainly contributed to the festive and electric atmosphere that reigned throughout the day.
This year's goal was to raise a net of $1.2 million for pediatric hematology-oncology research... and it is with immense pride that this ambitious goal was achieved. In fact, $1.3 million was raised by the 48 teams, their supporters, donors and, of course, thanks to the invaluable support of our partners, including our presenting partner IGA.
The Coupe Charles-Bruneau is a family-friendly event that continues to grow in popularity year after year.
