With the long-awaited Charles-Bruneau Cup just around the corner, we're pleased to introduce Véronique Dubois from the great Sobeys/IGA team.
Véronique has been participating in the Charles-Bruneau Cup for several years. For her, this commitment is not just a tradition, it's a real passion. “As soon as I joined Sobeys, I witnessed my employer's determination to get everyone actively involved in this great cause. That's why my employer supports my participation in both the Cup and the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau,” she explains. Her involvement is a reflection of the team spirit and unwavering support she receives from Sobeys.
During her first participation, she was enormously touched by Benjamin's story, which motivated her to continue getting involved.” What touches me most is seeing stories like Benjamin's, who was the Hero of the 1st edition. His mother told us his story and during the 3rd edition, we saw Benjamin again, smiling, playing on the surface. There's nothing more gratifying than knowing that young people and their families can benefit from the funds we raise.”
Véronique takes great pride in contributing to the mission of the Charles-Bruneau Foundation. “It's a privilege to be part of a company that takes this wonderful cause to heart. Taking part in this event strengthens the bonds between colleagues, whether with my direct colleagues or with others I work with less on a daily basis. The Cup has become a not-to-be-missed annual event,” she points out. Her participation not only contributes to the cause, but also strengthens relationships within her team.
She would like to send a message of gratitude to all participants and donors. “Thank you to the many donors who come out every year to help me exceed my fundraising targets. It's a privilege to be healthy, and as long as I can, I'll be there to perpetuate this wonderful tradition.
The Charles-Bruneau Foundation thanks Véronique Dubois and Sobeys for their commitment and dedication. Her determination and spirit of solidarity are an inspiration to us all. The Charles-Bruneau Cup is much more than an event, it's a big family united by the same cause: a childhood without cancer.
