LES VIKINGS
Encourage us
Years of Participation 2
Our team, The Vikings, takes part in the Coupe Charles-Bruneau for a reason that goes far beyond sport. We play in honor of Benjamin, the brother of our teammate Florence, who battled leukemia for nearly four years. During his treatments, he was nicknamed “The Viking” because of his strength, courage, and determination in the face of illness.
Today, Benjamin is in remission — a true victory made possible by research and care supported by the Charles-Bruneau Foundation.
This year, the meaning is even stronger: Benjamin is officially part of our team. The young warrior who inspired us is now on the field with us.
His story is at the heart of our commitment. It pushes us to give our best and to participate for the right reasons.
By taking part in this tournament, we want to give back and help provide other children with the same chance at recovery. Every shift, every effort, and every donation is driven by one shared goal: turning our passion for sport into meaningful solidarity.
Last year, we had the incredible honor of receiving the “Coup de cœur” (Spirit Award), recognizing our team spirit, unity, and the positive energy we brought to the children and families attending the event. That recognition motivates us to return even stronger — with even more heart.
We don’t play just to score goals.
We play to support children, families, and research.
We play so that hope keeps winning.
Although Benjamin is not officially part of our team this year, he will be present at the tournament — and he will actually be playing against us. It’s a powerful and joyful reminder of how far he has come, and a celebration of life, resilience, and hope.
His story remains at the heart of our commitment. It inspires us to give our best and to take part in this event for the right reasons.
By participating in this tournament, we aim to give back and help provide other children with the same chance at recovery. Every shift, every effort, and every donation is driven by this shared motivation: turning our passion for sport into a meaningful act of solidarity.
Last year, we had the immense honor of receiving the “Sports Favorite Award,” recognizing our team spirit, unity, and exemplary conduct on and off the field. That recognition encourages us to continue showing up with even more heart.
We don’t play just to score goals.
We play to support children, families, and research.
We play so that hope continues to win.
