Discovered by the general public in the film Il était une fois les boys, the self-taught Maxime Gibeault has since demonstrated his talent and versatility in a multitude of different roles.
From series such as La dérapes, Larry, District 31 and À coeur battant, to films such as Geneviève Albert's Noémie dit oui and Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette's La déesse des mouches à feu, Maxime embodies richly diverse characters, delivering precise, complex and moving performances.
After a detour in a communications studies program at university, Maxime decided in his early twenties to devote himself full-time to his art. It's a daring move he's relished, having recently taken part in quality projects such as Claude Desrosiers' Fragments and Frédérik D'Amours' Lac-Noir 2.
Possessing a natural ease in front of the camera and a charismatic, caring personality, it's no wonder he's coveted by the industry's most prolific creators.
